  • 2.2M - Ilona Maher became the most-followed rugby athlete ever after her follower count grew to 2.2M following the team’s historic bronze medal.

  • 3M - Team USA’s first women’s basketball game against Japan drew 3M viewers on Peacock and USA Network, more than all of the Tokyo Olympics basketball games except for the gold medal matches.

  • 4.2M - The USWNT match against Germany reeled in 4.2M viewers on NBC and Peacock — more than any of the men’s or women’s matches in the Rio and Tokyo Games.

  • 9M - The gold medal soccer match between the USWNT and Brazil averaged 9M viewers, the most-watched Olympic soccer match in NBC history.

12.7M - The live broadcast of the women’s team gymnastics finals drew 12.7M viewers on Peacock and NBC — more than the first round of the NFL Draft and every single NBA Finals game last year.

  • 20 - The Nigerian women’s basketball team got their first Olympic win in 20 years.

  • 1 - Sifan Hassan became the first woman to medal in the 5k, 10k, and marathon at a single Olympic Games.

  • 1 - After withstanding an unfathomable amount of online discrimination and abuse, Imane Khelif fought through the 66kg bracket to win the gold medal. Her medal is Algeria’s first gold in women’s boxing.

  • 1 - Lauren Scruggs became the first Black woman to win an individual fencing medal.

  • 1988 - Casey Kaufhold became the first American woman to medal in archery since 1988.

  • 1 - Helen Maroulis is the first American woman to win three Olympic medals in wrestling.

  • 1 - Kaylia Nemour won gold for her incredible uneven bars routine, earning the first-ever gymnastics medal for an African nation (Algeria).

  • 1 - Lauren Scruggs, Lee Keifer, Maia Weintraub, and Jackie Dubrovich teamed up to win the first-ever foil fencing team gold medal in American history.

  • 1 - Julien Alfred won the gold medal in the 100m dash, marking the first Olympic medal in St. Lucia's history.

4 - Katie Ledecky became the first woman in history to win the same individual event (the 800m freestyle) at four consecutive Olympic games.
